Google introduces Gemini Enterprise: unified AI platform for enterprise productivity and security

09-Oct-2025

Google announced **Gemini Enterprise**, a new AI platform designed to bring the full capabilities of its Gemini model family to large organizations with enterprise-level governance, privacy, and productivity features. The product integrates Gemini’s conversational, coding, and reasoning models directly into Google Workspace, Vertex AI, and enterprise data systems, allowing companies to deploy AI assistants that are both powerful and policy-compliant. The platform aims to simplify how enterprises scale generative AI securely across departments — from customer support and marketing to software development and analytics — while maintaining centralized oversight and data control. Gemini Enterprise builds on Google’s prior offerings (Duet AI, Gemini for Workspace, and Vertex AI extensions) but consolidates them into a single suite with unified identity, logging, and admin policies. IT leaders can configure model access through managed APIs, define prompts or workflow templates, and ensure that sensitive data remains within company boundaries. Early adopters report gains in developer productivity, document automation, and internal knowledge retrieval while maintaining regulatory compliance. The platform also introduces features like context windows extended to millions of tokens, grounding in enterprise data connectors (BigQuery, Drive, Sheets, Confluence, and more), and native support for fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Analysts see Gemini Enterprise as Google’s strongest signal yet that it intends to compete directly with Microsoft’s Copilot stack and OpenAI’s AgentKit ecosystem in the enterprise segment. The official announcement and detailed feature breakdown are available on Google Cloud’s blog: Introducing Gemini Enterprise.
