Rescale Raises $115M from Nvidia, Applied Materials to Power AI-Driven Engineering Software

08-Apr-2025

Rescale, a San Francisco-based startup developing AI-powered engineering software, has raised $115 million in new funding to scale its cloud simulation platform for research and development. The funding round was led by major tech players including Nvidia and Applied Materials, along with Microsoft’s venture arm M12 and Hitachi Ventures.

Rescale provides cloud-native high-performance computing (HPC) for enterprises conducting complex simulations in industries like aerospace, automotive, and materials science. The platform integrates AI with engineering workflows, enabling companies to accelerate design cycles, optimize materials, and run massive simulations that traditionally required on-premise infrastructure.

CEO Joris Poort noted that the fresh capital will help Rescale invest in building a more intelligent and automated platform for scientific computing. The company also plans to enhance its AI integration features to support next-gen R&D in sectors pushing the boundaries of innovation.

As more companies shift to the cloud for engineering workloads, Rescale is positioning itself at the intersection of AI, cloud computing, and simulation technology — an increasingly critical segment of modern industrial innovation.
