Anthropic has unveiled
Integrations, a major update to its Claude AI assistant, enabling it to interface with a broad range of tools and systems. These integrations are built on the
Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard designed to help AI models connect with external applications.
Initial launch partners include major platforms like Atlassian's Jira and Confluence, Zapier, Cloudflare, Intercom, Asana, Square, Sentry, PayPal, Linear, and Plaid. Through these integrations, Claude can now automate tasks, access real-time business data, and generate workflow-based insights — all within connected platforms.
A key example is the Zapier integration, which enables Claude to orchestrate thousands of apps — from pulling CRM data to preparing meeting notes automatically. Anthropic has also upgraded Claude’s research mode, allowing it to scan both internal and external data sources to produce citation-rich responses within minutes.
These new capabilities are now available in beta for Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers, with rollouts expected for Pro users soon. Web search has also been made available to all Claude.ai paid plans globally, making Claude even more powerful and context-aware in enterprise workflows.
