Invisible and Perplexity Partner to Bring Autonomous Agents to the Browser
07-Aug-2025
Invisible, a company building autonomous AI agents for complex workflows, has announced a new partnership with Perplexity to integrate its infrastructure into Perplexity’s AI-native browser. The collaboration blends Perplexity’s strength in real-time research with Invisible’s system for goal-driven task execution—effectively turning the browser into a fully agentic environment. (Invi...
According to Invisible’s official article, this is the “first step in transforming the browser into a workspace where users don’t have to click and scroll endlessly, but instead command agents to ‘go do’.” The integration will allow Perplexity users to delegate multistep workflows—like booking travel, compiling reports, or managing online shopping—via Invisible’s AI agents, directly from their browser.
The backend infrastructure relies on Invisible’s “Metaflow” framework, which combines scripted task plans, memory, and decision trees to reliably complete human-level work. Tasks can be chained, conditionally branched, and executed in parallel across APIs, web apps, or internal dashboards—all orchestrated by AI.
The move reflects a broader shift from passive AI assistants toward autonomous agents that proactively complete tasks. With Perplexity’s growing user base and cutting-edge retrieval interface, the partnership gives Invisible a real-world testbed while enhancing Perplexity’s utility far beyond search and chat.
Why it matters: The AI-powered browser is evolving into a workspace. This partnership accelerates the trend toward human-AI teams collaborating inside everyday tools. By embedding intelligent agent infrastructure inside search-centric browsers, Perplexity and Invisible are laying the groundwork for what could be the first mainstream agentic productivity suite.
