Google Rolls Out Gemini AI Assistant to Wear OS Watches

Google has launched Gemini AI on Wear OS smartwatches, replacing Google Assistant on devices running Wear OS 4+, as announced on the Google Blog.

According to TechCrunch, the rollout includes watches from Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi, enabling natural voice interactions and app-based capabilities previously limited to phones.

The Verge adds that this update aligns with Google’s system-wide shift toward Gemini, aiming to unify user experience across devices—from phones to wrists.

Not only voice commands but also Circle to Search gets an AI Mode upgrade, letting users activate deeper AI reasoning straight from their screen content, confirmed by AutoGPT.

Over the next few weeks, supported watches—Pixel Watch 3, the new Galaxy Watch8, and others—will receive Gemini AI, offering hands-free help, reminders, summaries, and deep integration with apps like Gmail, Calendar, and more Times of India.

This rollout marks a major milestone in the AI‑powered Wear OS evolution and sets the stage for smarter, more contextual interactions on wearable devices.
