Google has launched
Gemini AI on Wear OS smartwatches, replacing Google Assistant on devices running
Wear OS 4+, as announced on the
Google Blog.
According to
TechCrunch, the rollout includes watches from Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi, enabling natural voice interactions and app-based capabilities previously limited to phones.
The Verge adds that this update aligns with Google’s system-wide shift toward Gemini, aiming to unify user experience across devices—from phones to wrists.
