Beyond Imagination, a startup building advanced humanoid robots, is reportedly raising a $100 million Series B funding round led by Gauntlet Ventures, valuing the company at $500 million. The company was co-founded by AI futurist Ray Kurzweil and physicist Harry Kloor.
Its flagship robot, Beomni, is designed to operate in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing and pharmaceutical plants. It runs on the 'Beomni AI Brain,' an adaptive AI system with multiple specialized lobes for task learning and execution.
Beyond Imagination is also developing Aura, a universal operating system to synchronize human, robotic, and machine workflows in dynamic industrial settings. The company’s approach is unique in that it focuses on human-AI collaboration rather than full autonomy.
The $100M funding will fuel large-scale deployment initiatives and commercial partnerships aimed at transforming U.S. manufacturing. Beyond Imagination hopes to enhance productivity and safety while reducing reliance on repetitive manual labor.
Inspired by Kurzweil’s long-standing vision of cooperative AI, the startup is positioning itself as a formidable player in the humanoid robotics race, potentially rivaling major initiatives like Tesla’s Optimus and Figure’s humanoid platforms.
