Adaptation Ventures, a new angel investing group, has officially launched with a mission to support startups focused on accessibility, disability inclusion, and assistive technology. The initiative comes in response to a longstanding gap in funding for products and services designed by and for people with disabilities.
Founded by a collective of investors, technologists, and accessibility advocates, Adaptation Ventures aims to provide not just capital, but strategic mentorship and community alignment. The group intends to fund both early-stage tech startups and inclusive design companies that build tools across mobility, communication, cognitive support, and digital access.
According to the founding team, much of today’s disability tech still suffers from underfunding and underrepresentation, even though the global population of people with disabilities is over 1 billion. Adaptation Ventures hopes to change this narrative by normalizing inclusive innovation as a core theme in venture capital.
The group’s founding principles include inclusive product development, universal design thinking, lived-experience representation, and open collaboration with the disability community. Adaptation Ventures is already reviewing pitches and plans to make its first investments by Q3 2025.
